Week of 9/30/13-10/4/13/13 (1st Quarter -Week 8)

6th Graders,

I had another great week with you last week.  Congrats on your first 2 mile run of the year.  There are plenty more to come.  If you know that you struggled, please put in the time on you own and get outside and do more cardio activities- swimming, running, biking, etc.

WHAT UNIT ARE WE IN?
We are in our final week of manipulative skills- hand dribble, pass and shoot.

WHAT IS OUR RUN THIS WEEK?
Friday we will do the Partner Pacer.  If you want to know what the Partner Pacer and other runs are that we do in class, click HERE.

WHAT FITNESS ACTIVITY ARE WE DOING THIS WEEK?
On the block period, I will be setting up a Fit Deck Circuit that will have various stations and various exercises.  This should be tough bur fun.  

IS HOMEWORK ASSIGNED THIS WEEK?
Yes, you need to watch my Jump Rope Unit Introduction ScreenCast and fill out the Jump Rope Note Taking Sheet in order to prepare for your Jump Rope Unit that begins on Monday, 10/7.  Click HERE, look at HW #7.  Bring the completed Note Taking sheet to roll call on 10/7.
