WHAT UNIT ARE WE IN?
We are finishing the first part of Manipulative Skills on Monday. The first part of Manipulative Skills includes Overhand and Underhand Throwing, Catching, Hand and Foot Dribbling. The next part of Manipulative Skills will be taught in the Spring after our Track and Field Unit. Monday, you will watch the video of yourself either Hand Dribbling or Foot Dribbling (depending on what group you were in). After Monday, you will need to go through your Manipulative Skills packet, fill everything out, clean it up and get it ready to turn in next week.
Tuesday and Thursday this week, we will be doing alot of different types of cooperative and team building activities. Some of them I plan to combine with Mrs. Button's class and others we will not.
WHAT IS OUR RUN THIS WEEK?
You will have the Mile Run this week. Please look back at your mile run rubric and graph so that you can set a challenging, yet realistic goal.
WHAT FITNESS ACTIVITY ARE WE DOING THIS WEEK?
We will be doing an outdoor fitness activity, most likely a Pedometer Fitness challenge. You will find out more on Friday.
DID YOU FILL OUT YOUR E-LOGS?
e-Run Log: Yes, you need to fill out the log for the Pedometer Run.
e-Fitness Log: No, you do not need to fill one out this week.
PE 101 UPDATE
I plan to grade the packets this week and next. They will NOT be entered in the gradebook before progress reports need to be sent out. Thanks for turning them in. I have peaked at several of them and they look FANTASTIC.
IS HOMEWORK ASSIGNED THIS WEEK?
No, you have homework due this week. HW #2 is due on Monday, 12/7 at Roll Call.
ARE THERE ANY ASSIGNMENTS DUE THIS WEEK?
Yes, HW #2. Please turn it in.
I have several extra credit assignments posted that you can choose from on my Extra Credit Page. Please check them out. Most are easy to do and will be a great way to help keep your grade in the A/B range. Also, in dedication of Scoliosis (your word of the week) testing this week, you can do a 5 point extra credit assignment by writing a half page paper on what Scoliosis is, how you can get it and ways to help prevent it. Make sure you name, period and roll call is included on the paper. It can be written or typed.

SCOLIOSIS is your "Word of the Week".
