Week of 12/01/09-12/05/09 (2Q-Week 6)

6th Graders,

Please be sure to check your grades on Pinnacle. I have entered most grades (still have to finish 4th Period Stretch Decks). Grades for all teachers are due in the system on Tuesday because Progress Reports will be sent home this week. IF YOU SEE ANY ASPECTS OF YOUR GRADE THAT YOU ARE NOT SURE ABOUT, PLEASE COME SEE ME MONDAY AT BRUNCH IN MY OFFICE.

WHAT UNIT ARE WE IN?

On Monday, we will start the new rotation of Hand Dribbling and Foot Dribbling. 1st and 3rd period students who did Foot Dribbling will rotate to Mr. Sickler for Hand Dribbling and those who did Hand Dribbling will rotate to Mrs. Button for Foot Dribbling. 4th Period will be doing Foot Dribbling. Please check the google calendar for exactly what each day will look like. How long does it take to digest food? (email me your answer for extra credit- include name, period and roll call)

WHAT IS OUR RUN THIS WEEK?

We will be doing the Pedometer Run this week. Your goal is to take as many steps as possible in 20 minutes.

WHAT FITNESS ACTIVITY ARE WE DOING THIS WEEK?

I am not sure what our fitness day will be this week. I have to check with the PE department to see where I am scheduled for Friday's fitness day. I will keep you posted.

PE 101 UPDATE

I plan to grade the packets this week and next. They will NOT be entered in the gradebook before progress reports need to be sent out. Thanks for turning them in. I have peaked at several of them and they look FANTASTIC.

Yes, I posted HW #2. Please check your 6th Grade Homework Page to download and complete the assignment. It is due on Monday, December 8th. The assignment is titled, "Kids Health Web Research Assignment." Good Luck!!!
