Week of 9/23/13-9/27/13/13 (1st Quarter -Week 6)

6th Graders,

I added grades in Aeries this week.  Please check to see if your grade makes sense.  If you have any issues, please come and see me.  I added your Bear Fit Notes, Student Contract, Partner and Figure 8 runs.

WHAT UNIT ARE WE IN?
We will continue our 2nd week in  Manipulative Skills- Hand Dribbling/Passing and Shooting.  We will be working a lot on these fundamental basketball skills.

WHAT IS OUR RUN THIS WEEK?
On the block period, we will be doing the 2 Mile Run.  You will be responsible for graphing this run so be sure that you bring your Sportfolio to Roll Call and grab a pencil.  To read about most of the runs that I do throughout the year, click HERE.

WHAT FITNESS ACTIVITY ARE WE DOING THIS WEEK?
Friday I am going to set up a Fitness Circuit for you on the blacktop.  Be ready, it will be a good one.

IS HOMEWORK ASSIGNED THIS WEEK?
Yes, you need to complete Pg. 8 in your PE 101 packet.  I posted it as HW #7 on this LINK.  Most of you were not able to finish this in class on Friday and were asked to take Page 8 or your folder home.  Be sure to complete this assignment and bring it with you to Roll Call on Monday.  Also, if you want to earn 5 extra credit points, complete pages 6-7 in your PE 101 packet and show it to me on Monday.

ARE THERE ANY ASSIGNMENTS DUE THIS WEEK
Yes, page  8 in PE 101 is due on Monday at Roll Call.

EXTRA CREDIT ASSIGNMENTS
For any extra credit assignments that you would like to do, please go to the extra credit page.  There are little, medium and large assignments that you can choose from.

Extra Credit:  There is a Fit In 15 Extra Credit Assignment posted on the Extra Credit page under "Little" Assignments.  Click HERE to check out the assignment.  Fill out this sheet and you will get extra credit.  Make sure that you have this sheet with you while you are doing the Fit In 15 workout b/c you have to keep track of your reps.
