ARTICLE OF THE WEEK (AOW)
As you can tell, this entire quarter has been devoted to Nutrition. You have been working on your EYO project and all of your WOW words have been nutrition focused. To stay on the same theme, I found this good article from Kidshealth about "Figuring Out Food Labels." I HIGHLY recommend that you read this article. Educating yourself on how to read food labels will not only help you count calories more effectively, but also help you eat healthier. Alot of food products "trick" you because of the way that they present "serving size" and other nutrition information on the labels. Read THIS ARTICLE and become educated.
DID YOU KNOW (DYK)
Your brain uses 20% of the oxygen that enters your bloodstream. Interestingly, the brain only makes up 2% of your body mass, yet consumes more oxygen that any other organ in the body. It is very, very important that your brain gets a good, healthy, consistent supply of oxygen. This is why research shows that the more you exercise and stay active, the better you will do in the classroom. Do you believe this?
