Week of 1/9/12-1/13/12 (2Q- Week 9)

6th Graders,

2 Weeks left. We are getting closer and closer to the end of the year.

WEEKLY RECAP & WEEK AT A GLANCE

This was a fun week. We did a Capture the Flag type game on Tuesday and Castle Ball on Thursday. Friday we had a HR and RPE lesson. Please check out your Google Calendar to see what is going on this upcoming week.

MILE & 2 MILE MAKE-UP RUN

I am not sure when the make up/extra credit runs will take place after school. There are some scheduling issues that I am trying to work through.

WHAT UNIT ARE WE IN?

This week is the Bear Fitness Challenge. You will have Block A, B and C as well as the 2 mile run. This upcoming week is going to be physically demanding. Be sure to eat and rest well. You goal is to improve on your Bear Fitness Challenge results from last time. If you need to, watch the Bear Fitness Challenge activity videos.

WHAT UNIT IS COMING UP NEXT?

On the first day of the new quarter, 1/23, you will be starting one of the best units of the year, Line Dance. I added a link on my website about Line Dance, including videos for each of the dances that you will be responsible for learning. I HIGHLY recommend you start watching the videos and practicing. WHAT IS OUR RUN THIS WEEK?

You will have the Bear Fitness 2 Mile run on Friday.

WHAT FITNESS ACTIVITY ARE WE DOING THIS WEEK?

We will not have a fitness day this week. Instead, we will complete our final PE 101 topic, Benefits of Exercise. I am hoping that we can do this in the Rock Wall.

IS HOMEWORK ASSIGNED THIS WEEK?

No, nothing new is assigned this week.

HW #4, your Tinikling Assignment is due on Wednesday.
