6th Graders,
Sorry that I was unable to get your Blog out last week. You did a great job getting through the week. I am going to try and keep this one short and sweet.
WEEK AT A GLANCE
Check out your Google Calendar to see what is going on this week. The big change this week is that you will not have a Run Day on Wednesday because of Track and Field league finals and instead have a run or fitness day on Friday.
WHAT UNIT ARE WE IN?
We are in our final week of Frisbee skills. We have spent quite a bit of time working on Throwing and Catching (of which many of you have improved significantly). Now, we are going to focus on the Learning Target: using a frisbee throw (forehand/backhand) to hit a stationary target. We will do this for 4 days.
WHAT UNIT IS COMING UP NEXT?
Next Monday, we will begin with Tumbling.
WHAT IS OUR RUN THIS WEEK?
If we run, we will run on Friday and I am not sure which run we will do.
WHAT FITNESS ACTIVITY ARE WE DOING THIS WEEK?
If we have a fitness day, it will be on Friday. I am not sure what fitness activity we will do.

e-Run Log: You DO NOT need to fill out a e-run log for the Figure 8 run.
e-Fitness Log: You can fill out the e-Fitness Log for extra credit for the Team Fitness Rotation Challenge.

ARTICLE OF THE WEEK (AOW)
This year I have noticed that many students have asthma. I know that is has been quite windy this year stirring up more allergies, etc. This is a great article on asthma. If you have asthma, you will find this helpful, and for those without asthma, it is important to know more about it because you may have a friend/family member that has it. Check out the article HERE. If you want to earn extra credit regarding these AOW, go to the Extra Credit page and check out the "Little Ones".
